TSA of Indiana
WELCOME! Thank you for visiting our newly
established website. One of TSA of Indiana's many priorities is to
establish access to current information and easy communication for out
members. Our leaders are committed to serving and supporting
those whose lives are affected by Tourette Syndrome. Please take
a moment to see what TSA of Indiana has to offer.
CHAPTER SERVICES
School Presentations, Advocacy - Provided by trained volunteers, upon
request, to inform teachers about symptoms of TS, its associated
disorders and its impact upon the educational setting. Suggestions are
given for possible accommodations, modifications and teaching
strategies. Peer in-services are available to enlighten students and
to promote understanding and acceptance.
Referrals - Upon request, the following are provided: names and
contact information for physicians, allied health professionals,
therapists, counselors, attorneys, education advocates, parent
training centers, associated disorder foundations and other resources.
Resource materials - Offers books and videotapes about TS, its
associated disorders and educational issues. Also available are
pamphlets and other related publications. A list of titles is
available from the Chapter.
Chapter Helpline - Consult with an experienced volunteer to get
answers to questions, discuss services and receive guidance and
referrals upon request.
MORE SERVICES
Support Groups - Meetings held at several locations in Indiana to
provide a comfortable atmosphere to meet others for mutual support, to
listen to guest speakers and learn more about living with TS.
Chapter Meetings - Held regularly to complete Chapter business and
offer opportunity for volunteer involvement. We also hold social
gatherings and networking/training opportunities for children and
adults.
Chapter Website - Our new website offers general information about TS,
information about our current support groups and a calendar of events.

Outdoor Youth Program- held in early fall in Central Indiana, allows
children with TS an opportunity to meet others with the same
challenges, participate in trust and team building activities, share
experiences, concerns and coping ideas through group discussions, in
an enjoyable, safe and positive outdoor environment. The Chapter
provides this experience to all families in the state, regardless of
ability to pay, through fundraising and generous donations from
supporters.
