TSA Indiana is proud to feature our youth that are successfully meeting the challenges of living with Tourette Syndrome.

MEET JORDAN ROWLAND

Jordan lives his life with Tourette Syndrome, but he does not let it get in the way. His love of baseball is evident in his enthusiasm as a skilled player, keeping a close eye on the game! Sometimes his tics show up but Jordan keeps swinging away.

After helping his team win the championship game, by hitting a double, Jordan received the game ball and said to his head coach, "I never give up! I just keep on swinging and I live my life with TS and I live it for everyone else with TS. So, this game ball is for everyone out there with TS!"

Jordan's team, the Cardinals, won the Championship game ending with an 18 & 0 season. Jordan said "We are the champions 18 & 0 AND Jordan vs. Tourettes 18 & 0!"

Following the big game, Jordan was selected for All Stars but was unable to play due to a change in medication. Keeping true to his positive outlook, he did not allow it to get him down and said, "There is next year!"

Jordan's baseball coach said that he wished he had more players like Jordan. His drive, determination and dedication to the sport of baseball was above the highest standards. Jordan also was a field reporter for the school's local cable station WHTN. He held interviews with coaches. He received an award of excellence for his work. Jordan pictured with Jim Eisenreich, diagnosed with TS, is a successful major league baseball player who spent his career with the Florida Marlins.
